At Goat Island Dive & Snorkel, we’re proud to be part of SSI’s Blue Oceans movement — a global initiative inspiring divers, snorkelers, and ocean lovers to protect our marine world. From our no-take, no-touch marine reserve to hands-on education, we’re committed to reducing our impact, safeguarding marine life, and encouraging others to join us in protecting the ocean for future generations.
Salt Session - Kōrero, Kai & Wai
Spend the morning in the water at Goat Island with Salt Aotearoa and our snorkel guides, exploring the reserve and learning about its unique marine life. Then, join us in the evening at Leigh Sawmill Café for “Kōrero, Kai & Wai” — an inspiring session of conversation, connection, and ocean wellbeing.
Te Kohuroa Rewilding
We love supporting Te Kohuroa Rewilding, a community-led initiative restoring marine and freshwater ecosystems at Matheson Bay. Their conservation work—guided snorkels, kelp restoration, biodiversity surveying and more—connects people to this special place. Click through to explore what they do and get involved.
You’ll also see us teaming up through our Blue Oceans programme, helping with their Kina Removal Days at Matheson Bay starting this November.
