Join us for an epic boat trip and dive around the Leigh coast. You will be taken out shown the sights and get to dive this incredible part of New Zealand. From rocky reefs covered with kelp forests to walls colour and an abundance of fish life the reefs are home to huge Snappers, Red Moki, Goat-Fish and Triple Fins, as well as schools of Parore, Kahawai, Sweep, Silver Drummers, Trevally. And that's not all! We also have Crayfish, Nudibranchs, Octopuses, Stingrays and Eagle Rays

Goat Island's Boat Dive Sites
We have a wide range if dive sites with something for every level of diver. We will always choose a site that is accessible for everyone on the day.

Rocky Reefs. with crevasses and kelp forest, search and you will find so many incredible organisms.

Wall dives. explore large structures with over hangs and hiding holes.

Marine Reserves. We have 2 amazing reserves teaming with life.

Drift Dives. Let the current do the work and get picked up at the other end.

Caves. We have some large caves you could drive a bus into.
NB: Not all dive spots are available at all times, both current and tides have to be right to enter some of them. All our dives are no hunting dives, we take only pictures and leave only bubbles.
Your Dive package includes:

You will meet at our Dive Center - 142a Pakiri Road, 0947 Leigh.

Dive instructor/ Divemaster as a guide. All our guides are certified professional divers, with unique knowledge of the marine reserve and its residents. They will teach you about the marine environment, the fish species you will encounter and make sure you are comfortable and safe for your dive.

1 Boat Dive. We will board our dive boat Ocean Tales and head out to the dive site.

Gear Choice - High quality gear hire or bring your own:

Single Diver with All Own Gear: Prefer to use your own kit? Bring your full dive setup, including your tank. Our team will carry out a thorough safety check before your dive.

Single Diver with Hardware Package: Already have most of your own gear? We’ll supply the hardware 1 cylinder, regs & gauges, BCD, weight belt - we’ll have it ready for you.

Single Diver with Full Gear Included: Full, high quality dive gear is provided, trusted equipment that is thoroughly washed after each use. We have a range of wetsuits (7.5mm or 3mm) plus vests and hoods, mask, snorkel, fins (with booties), BCD, regulator, and the tank required for the dive.

Certified Divers Only
A minimum Open Water/Scuba Diver certification from a recognized agency is required.
Booking
If you are thinking of booking in on your own, that is not a problem. During the gear set us we will buddy everyone up and make sure everyone is buddied up with an appropriate dive body.

The experience is subject to availability and a minimum of 3 persons.

Please let us decide if the weather conditions are suitable. We have 25 years experience with access to accurate weather forecasting information, we know when the diving is good!

We require a minimum of 48 hours notice for any cancellation for any reason.

NB!! THIS OPTION IS FOR CERTIFIED DIVERS ONLY (You must have your scuba diving certification through a recognised training agency (SSI, PADI, NAUI, BSAC, SDI, CMAS etc., minimum Open Water)
